I Pledge.

 " I Pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all".

Nobody can deny that our flag represents the embodiment of our American Republic, and there's the rub.  Sadly, a citizen can't look to the Supreme Court for guidance concerning the burning of our American symbol, simply because they have flip-flopped on this issue a number of times over the years depending upon which way the political wind was blowing.    ** With minimal research the aforementioned can easily be verified.** 

As a good number of Americans did, on July 24th, 2024 I sat steaming while I watched a replay on my t.v. of those ingrates who represent the terrorist organization Hezbollah and other marchers burning our flag and with impunity vandalizing government property right there in our Capital.  Most assuredly, that march was not spontaneous. That Shindig was a calculated test to see how far Hezbollah would be allowed to go and by any measure, they had free rein.  Be for-warned their next protest will be much more destructive. 

Where were the ones we depend on for law and order?  The Capital Police, to say that they were ineffective insults my sense of what they are charged to do.  Of course, after the incident such as this we hear a now common refrain, " We were undermanned and overwhelmed". 

Rather than just talking this dilemma to death, let's collectively do something about it.  I recommend that we need to form groups of good numbers that are at the ready when an anti-american  rally is scheduled to occur.  On the day of the rally the (IPA -I Pledge Allegiance) group, or, call yourselves whatever you want must gather in good numbers around American flag poles, statuary, or any other building of significance to insure that no vandalism occurs. 

Keep in mind, our function is to be peaceful citizens acting as a protective buffer of our institutions.  However, if the burning of our flag is about to occur, do what you feel you have to do.  Secondarily, if you see someone starting to vandalize you have every right to make a citizen's arrest, and then have one of your group hunt up a police officer to turn the vandal over to.  Personally speaking, the vandal having a lump or two wouldn't bother me one bit. 

Well, I've outlined the problem and offered a reasonable solution.  Your choice, you can either join with others and protect the land of the free or do whatever you do, but keep in mind, what you do or don't do will determine what happens to our great Nation in the end.
